INVITATION TO THE IBA ‘NEW’ 1-STAR
COACHES CERTIFICATION COURSE

You will be aware that the announcement of the above, the new IBA 1-Star Coaches
Certification Course opens up the opportunity to allow members of the National Federations to take part in the exciting new concept of coach education and wider continuous professional development. The course will be delivered via an extended on-line training platform, where all participants will be required to attain a ‘Gmail account.
THE MISSION : to certify 1000 new IBA 1-Star Coaches over a six-month period from January

  • June 2023, consisting of 25 courses to be delivered in total in English, French and other languages, with 40 participants in each course.
    AIM: to hit target with 1000 newly certified IBA
    1-Star Coaches; if accomplished in the timeframe, the promise is repeat the same model through from July – December 2023, with a further 1000 new certifications.
    On completion of the above 1-Star course, the ongoing continuous professional development will be managed for a further 12 months, with all qualified personnel required to attend 1 lecture per week, with different topics in order to improve and to harness those skills in preparation for future progression.

ONLINE LEARNING AND DATES. The new programme will take place over a 6-month period, and will take place online during the following dates:
a. March 2-12, 2023 (English, Arabic, Russian, Spanish)
b. March 20-28, 2023 (English, French, Arabic, Russian, Spanish)
c. April 2-12, 2023 (English, Arabic, Russian, Spanish)
d. April 18-28, 2023 (English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Russian)
e. May 2-12, 2023 (English)
f. May 18-28, 2023 (English, French)

  1. June 2-12, 2023 (English, French)
    h. June 18-28, 2023 (English, French)
    i. July 2-12, 2023 (English)
    j. July 18-28, 2023 (English)
    IBA recognises the need to develop our ‘Boxing Family’ and we aim to achieve the highest possible standards of coaching ability for all participants, and indeed those members who wish to enhance their own continuous professional development. The lead for all course design and delivery will remain with the Chair of the IBA Coaches Committee, Mr Gabriele Martelli.
