Dear Boxing Friends,

European Boxing activity continues with great success to promote and organize great boxing events.

In March, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland, Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Montenegro Boxing Federations are going to organize important International tournaments, which will give our boxers the chance to compete at the highest level.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of them for their strong commitment and contribution to the development of European Boxing.

As you know, the main European boxing event of March will be the EUBC Under 22 Men’s and Women’s European Boxing Championships 2018, which will take place in Targu Jiu, Romania from March 24th to April 2nd, 2018. The best European young Elite boxers will have an important occasion to show high quality performances and gain experience for their future Elite careers.

I am very pleased to inform you that EUBC has launched a new project called “THE STARS OF THE RING”.

We want to emphasise the feats and values of our best boxers in order to make them popular and followed with more attention from social media.

Soon, on official EUBC website and on EUBC social media, will be published the interviews with the best European boxers who have distinguished themselves in the major international competitions.

The communication has an overwhelming force and we are glad to give a voice to all members of European family of EUBC and in particular to the heart of Boxing, the boxers. We will discover emotions of their daily life, we will talk about their joys discovering their fears, their courage, until get to know their greatest dreams.

But we should not forget the key role of coaches.
Them too will be dedicated specific interviews with the aim of get to know better their teaching methodologies and, if possible, meet their little secrets of teaching boxing.

Boxing in the Olympic Movement

2018 is particularly important year for the future of Boxing in the Olympic Movement. As all of you received the progress report from the Interim President, I would also like to emphasize the unity of our members to support all of our efforts to restore our damaged reputation and trust in the Olympic Movement.

However, the long and respectful heritage of our sport will absolutely support the long term association of boxing in the Olympic Games. I personally have no fear and doubt that our beloved sport will be further recognized again as one of top sports in the International Sports Community again.

One disappointing leader cannot bring the entire global sport family in dire situation. We must save our future for the next many generations of boxers and boxing family. I hereby cordially request for your full support on current AIBA leadership and Confederation’s activities to bring all possible justice in our sport and organization.
