At what age did you start practicing boxing? and why did you choose to practice boxing?

“I started practicing boxing at 13 years old. At first, I wasn’t going to doing competition, then, over time, I got addicted to this sport more and more, getting initial results.

What is your sport dream?

“In Elite I’d like to win World Championship and Olympic Games”.

What is the match that you played that gave you more emotions? And the match that you played but you don’t enjoy it?

“The most exciting match was what I played in April 2018, during the semifinals of the European Youth Championships in Roseto degli Abruzzi (Ita) against the Russian Liubov Sharapova. On that occasion I was able to prove my pugilistic repertoire: I cross her, I avoided her punches, I predicted her, I mean, I did boxing as I wanted.

The match I didn’t like was that the quarter-finals of the European Junior 2017 in Sofia (Bul) against the Ukrainian Vira Danilyuk. Her boxing didn’t let me express myself because my actions were always interrupted by her, which was thrown on me. Despite this behaviour I won the match”.

What advice would you give to those who want to start practicing boxing?

“Who would like to start practicing boxing must have a big motivation, because it’s necessary to make sacrifices. Even if it’s very tiring sport, I can say that it’s worth practicing it because, after so much work in the gym, are achieved great results and  feel beautiful emotions “.

What do you like doing in your free time?

“I like going out with my friends and be with my family”.

After life as a boxer, have you thought about what you do?

How many times a week do you train? In which gym?

“I work out all the time: in my hometown, Catania, I’m training 6 days a week in Fitbull gym, in addition to training during the retreat with National Team”.

Life as a boxer is compatible with that of student/worker?

“At my age it’s difficult to be able to reconcile training with school, because I’m at a retreat and far from my hometown many months a year”.

How do you live the night before the match? With anxiety, fear, determination?

“The night before the match, I’m pretty quiet, I can sleep anyway. I can state I can control my anxiety”.

Are you excited when you get in the ring before a match?

“Before the match I get upset and I take deep breaths”.

If you were to to promote boxing (using a few words – like advertising), what would you say?

“Practice boxing because boxing changes your life”.
