In Italy, precisely in Assisi, this morning started the AIBA 1 & 2  Star Coach Course.

The greeting of Franco Falcinelli, EUBC President

Dear  Boxing Friends,

on behalf of AIBA and the EUBC and AIBA Family I would like to welcome all of you in Assisi for this important Coaches Course.

First of all I would like to introduce Miss Stefania Proietti, Mayor of Assisi and the AIBA Instructors Mr. Adam Kusior, Chairman of AIBA Coach Commission and Mr. Terry Edward for long years Head Coach of National UK Boxing Team.

Dear Friends, as you know, AIBA is living one of the most dire period of his history, however, along with AIBA Interim President Mr. Gafur Rahimov, we will continue to do all the possible to reconfirm our right to be part of the Olympic family and to follow the guidelines that IOC has requested.

In the meantime, we have to increase and improve our paramount heritage: boxers and coaches.

Dear Friends, I am a coach and I know very well what it means to train young boxers and follow them until their great performances. The strong passion or your brillant past as boxers is not enough to be a good coach. We need the knowledge of many technical and scientifical aspects, modern and updated training systems.

Therefore AIBA wants to give you the opportunity to grow up, to reach the top level of your sport activity.

Boxing wants to come back to the top of social media, Tv and fans. I also needs the new stars of the ring, the new talents who will become Olympic and professional Champions.

Only you able to write a new golden age of our sport! I am sure that this dream can become true with your strong will and qualified application.

Wishing all of you to spend a productive week in Assisi.
