The International Boxing Association (AIBA) has issued an open invitation to the current certified Supervisors and ITOs at all levels to attend an Extraordinary One-Time APB/WSB Supervisors’ and ATOs’ Course which will take place across three different continents at the same as both the APB/WSB R&Js’ and Coaches’ Courses.

The name of ITOs will be changed to AOB Technical Officials (AOB). The course will take place from August 22 to September 18 in America, Asia/Oceania and Europe/Africa and will be opened to current AOB/WSB certified Supervisors, current AOB certified ITOs, as well as non-AIBA certified Officials with professional boxing licenses to become an APB/WSB Supervisor and ATO without the usual protracted process.

The heavy schedules of the 3 AIBA programs (AOB, APB and WSB) will demand more Officials to efficiently manage all events, creating a need to produce additional qualified Supervisors and ATOs to officiate at the Competitions.

Once gaining the certification as a Supervisor for APB/WSB, if a person would then like to officiate in AOB Competitions, AIBA will automatically award this person with an AOB Supervisor Status. This is a fantastic opportunity for existing Supervisors and ITOs wishing to advance in their careers. In an added bonus, the recently revised Per Diem allowance will give great financial benefits to these Officials.
