Following the registration closure of the Extraordinary One-Time APB/WSB Certification Courses for Coaches, Referees & Judges (R&Js), Supervisors and ATOs and Ringside Doctors on August 8th, the International Boxing Association (AIBA) is pleased to announce the total number of applications received for all courses as follows:

• R&Js: 376
• Coaches: 468
• Supervisors/ATO: 69
• Ringside Doctors: 77

Due to the unexpectedly high number of applications received for R&Js and Coaches Courses, the instructors will not be able to conduct a course for all applicants at one given time as the practical training sessions and examinations are structured to hold only a limited number of participants. For this reason it has been decided to downsize the accepted applicants as below and hold additional sessions to accommodate all remaining applicants as soon as possible.

America (Havana, Cuba):

• R&J: 60 (August 20 – 27)
• Coaches: 69 (August 20 – 27)
• Supervisors & ATO: 13 (August 22 – 27)

Asia (Almaty, Kazakhstan):

• R&J: 76 (September 1 – 8)
• Coaches: 66 (September 1 – 8)
• Supervisors & ATO: 9 (September 3 – 8)

Europe/Africa 1 (Assisi, Italy):

• R&J: 69 (September 11 – 18)
• Coaches: 62 (September 11 – 18)
• Supervisors & ATO: 20 (September 13 – 18)

Europe/Africa 2 (Siracusa, Sicily, Italy):

• R&J: 62 (September 19 – 26)
• Coaches: 74 (September 19 – 26)
• Supervisor & ITO: 25 (September 21 – 26)
• Ringside Physicians: 70 (September 21 – 26)

The International Boxing Association (AIBA) greatly appreciates the interest for the Extraordinary One-Time APB/WSB Coaches’ Certification Courses for Coaches, Referees & Judges (R&Js), Supervisors and ATOs and Ringside Doctors Courses from the boxing family. The courses have been arranged by AIBA in order to meet a constantly rising demand in the sport worldwide in view of the launch of AIBA Pro Boxing (APB), the increase in the number of World Series of Boxing (WSB) Franchises and the continuous popularity of grassroots level boxing programs.
