Amazing number of 367 boxers from 38 nations registered to attend at the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships
30 September 2021The EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships is the last continental event in 2021 after the U22, Junior and Schoolboys & Schoolgirls competitions. Amazing number of 367 boxers from 38 nations registered to attend in the upcoming EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships which will be held in Budva, Montenegro in October 13-24.
Boxers who were born in 2003 and in 2004 are eligible to attend in the EUBC European Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in Budva. The event will be introduced also the new youth weight categories, the girls can attend in 12 while the boys in 13 different weight classes in Montenegro.
Montenegro never hosted any continental event in the past until 2020 and the last edition of the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships was a new milestone in the country’s boxing life. The President of the Boxing Association of Montenegro Mr. Aleksandr Klemenko worked hard with his team to arrange another EUBC Championships in Budva.
Despite of the Covid-19 period in 2020, 62 female and 113 male boxers competed for the medals in the last edition of the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships. The following 22 nations attended in the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships Budva 2020: Albania, Armenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Israel, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Ukraine.
The life in the European continent turned into near to normal and the interest to attend in the new edition of the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships doubled. Altogether 123 women and 244 men boxers registered to attend in the upcoming edition.
The registered 38 nations are the following: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine.
All of the delegation members have to present their negative PCR tests which have to be done within 72 hours before the arrival to Montenegro. The safety of all participants, the continuous medical checks, the social distancing, the hygienic preparations, wearing masks and all of the health controls were the responsibility of the local organizers in Montenegro avoid any new Covid-19 cases during the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships.
