#Assisi14 Euro Women's Junior Youth Boxing Championships – 200 Boxers ready for Fight

2014 Euro Women J:Y Boxing Champs Official Logo3 days to the first gong of the Fifth Edition of EUBC European Women’s Junior- Youth Boxing Championships, which will take place from July 20 to 27 inside the PalaEventi Sport Venue set Santa Maria degli Angeli (Italian Little Town 1 km south of Assisi). According to the final entry list a record number of 102 female junior boxers from 26 nations registered to take part in the Junior European Championships. Meanwhile 97 youth boxers (26 countries) will be competing in their section.

Following the list of participating countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Kosovo, Moldova, Netherlands, EUBC, Poland, Rumania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine.

Russia is the team with the highest numbers of boxers (23 Total – 10 Youth – 13 Junior). The Ukrainian team line up 22 athletes (10 Youth – 12 Junior). The Host Country, Italy, is represented by 14 fighters (6 Youth and 8 Junior)

7 days of bouts are on schedule. Except for the finals, The Junior boxers and youth ones will fight on alternate days. The junior tournament will take place in the following days: July 20 th (Preliminaries), July 22th (Quarter Finals), July 24th (Semifinals), July 27th (Finals). The youth boxers will compete on July 21th (Preliminaries), July 23th (Quarter Finals), July 26th (Semifinals), July 27th (Finals). All Days of competition, apart from the finals, are set in two  sessions (first one at 3 pm – second one at 6 pm LOCAL TIME).
