The first gong of the V edition of EUBC European Women’s Junior/Youth Boxing Championships Assisi 2014 will ring on the upcoming 20 july inside the PalaEventi set in Santa Maria degli Angeli, little town just 1 km far from the gates of Assisi. In the meantime 6 National Teams, leading by the host country Italy, are training tighter inside the Italian Boxing Federation National Boxing Center. 36 boxers are working out very hard to get ready for this important competition, in which the european glory is the main prize.

Among those teams, there is the German one which will be represented in the euro competition by 8 athletes. Roland Kubath, Germany Team Manager, talked with EUBC about the preparation of the German Team for Assisi14 and his expectations of the upcoming tournament.
1)How is your team getting ready for this competition?
Our athletes have been training here for two weeks. Our Girls are working very hard to get ready as best they can for a tournament, which will be very though  and hard
2) What do you think about this Training Camp Road to Assisi14?
We accepted immediately the invitation of Italian Boxing Federation for this Training Camp, because one of the best way to get a better boxer is to train with athletes of different countries and diverse way of boxing from yours.
3) Could you present your team to all european boxing fans?
We have a very good team. I’m sure our Boxers will do they best inside and outside the ring and show at the hole European Noble Art what a German Girl can do.
4) What are your expectations from this competition concerning the results of your Athletes?
We hope to bring back a lot of medals in Germany.
