Bid Opened for 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships

Lausanne, March 13, 2015,– The International Boxing Association (AIBA) has just opened the bidding process for the 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships which will be the major AOB Competition in 2017. The National Federation and/or City that is interested in bidding for the 2017 AIBA World Boxing Championships must send a Letter of Intent to AIBA Headquarters by June 30, 2015. A completed bidding file should be submitted to the AIBA Headquarters by August 31, 2015. Between August 1 and September 15, 2015, AIBA will conduct site visits to all accepted bidding National Federations and/or Cities. The final bidding National Federations and/or Cities will have the opportunity to present their bids at the AIBA Extraordinary Executive Committee Meeting which will take place on October 15, 2015 and the final selection will be announced on the same day
