The 57th Boskai Istvan Memorial officially launched for many European and international boxers the new 2013 season along with the new Olympic cycle.

One of the most famous and respected boxing competitions of European calendar gathered together in Debrecen this year 136 boxers from 20 countries.

Once again, Russia showed his leadership on European continent claming 5 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medals. The hosting country finished second with 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 4 Bronze medals. Two other tournament’s titles went to China (in 56kg) and Kazakhstan (in 52kg). In total, 12 countries shared medals of this first big boxing competition of the new 2013 season.
