Boxing Seeding System for European Games

Current AIBA Rules allow for the seeding system for Continental Multi-Sports Games to take place only after September 2016. However, the AIBA Executive Committee decided to apply it from the European Games Baku 2015.

Considering the fact that all WSB and APB boxers will compete together with AOB boxers for the 1st time in this year’s Continental Multi-Sports Games, the AIBA Executive Committee decided to apply the seeding system for all 3 Continental Multi-Sports Games to be held in 2015, thus the European Games, the Pan American Games and the All-Africa Games, in order to protect the quality of boxing competitions and maintain highest safety measures as possible for boxers participating in these Games.

Therefore, the seeding system will from now on apply for Continental Multi-Sports Games. Read the official letter to AIBA National Member Federations Here.
