In Braila all-time high for the first European Under 22 Championships14 March 2017
Braila, romanian city with 215.316 citiziens, is country seat of namesake district and location to a major harbor on the mouth of Danube (Dunarea).
It’s planted in the core of a reserve abundant in flora and fauna and also characterized by very particular species that live only in this natural oasis.
The first European Under 22 Championships are enrolled 190 athletes from 31 countries. In this championship participation of the best young boxers born between 1995 and 1998.
The event will take place at the Danube Hall located at the center of the city of Braila: March 14 begin the preliminary, on March 20 there will be semi-finals and the final on March 21. Romania back in the limelight after European Championships women 2014. It will be an excellent opportunity for young athletes to live as protagonists.
With 10 boxers, complete team, is presented: Russia, Ireland, Hungary, Ukraine, Romania;
9 boxers: Italy, Turkey, Belarus, Germany, Moldova;
8 boxers: England, France and Armenia;
7 boxers: Croatia, Spain, Georgia, Poland;
6 boxers: Bulgaria;
5 boxers: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria and Lithuania;
4 boxers: Czech Republic, Holland, Albania, Israel;
3 boxers: Slovakia and Greece;
2 boxers: Cyprus e Norway;
1 boxer: Slovenia.
Among the 190 registered boxers, 42 athletes are very young because they were born in 1998. Surely they will be engaged in making experience in the ring; others, however, having already participated in early-season tournaments (such as Bocksai in Hungary and Strandja in Bulgaria), will be more sharp among the sixteen strings.
