Cuban, US and Russian stars will be attending in the Chemistry Cup this week

Big stars such as Cuba’s Rio 2016 Olympic Games winner and four-time AIBA World Champion Julio Cesar La Cruz, two-time Olympic Champion Robeisy Ramirez, United States’ teenage power Marc Castro and further strong Russian and German boxers also will be there in the start of the event on Wednesday.
The German Boxing Federation’s traditional boxing tournament the prestigious Chemistry Cup is one of the strongest international preparation events in the European continent. The German Boxing Federation hosted the last edition of the AIBA World Boxing Championships in Hamburg less than one year ago and has got excellent experiences to organise major international events.
Halle is famous of its boxing tradition and the Chemistry Cup, which is also known as Chemiepokal, has got nearly 50 years of traditions. The first edition of the Chemistry Cup was held in 1970 and since then such big stars as Cuba’s three-time Olympic Champions Felix Savon and Teofilo Stevenson furthermore the two German stars Henry Maske, Dariusz Michalczewski, Cuba’s Juan Hernandez and Kazakhstan’s legend Vasiliy Zhirov all claimed gold medals in the history of the event.
Key nations in the boxing world such as Cuba, Russia, Ukraine, United Stated of America, India, Ireland, Canada, Poland, Moldova and host Germany will be there in the Chemistry Cup in Halle where the number of the registered boxers is more than 100. The Cuban team will be attending in the Chemistry Cup with their best line-ups which means Olympic Champion and AIBA World Champions will be raised the level of the international tournament. Two-time Olympic Games winner Robeisy Ramirez, Olympic Champion Julio Cesar La Cruz, three-time AIBA World Champion Lazaro Alvarez and their unbeaten WSB star Andy Cruz will be also competing in Halle.
United States’ AIBA Youth World Champion and AIBA Junior World Champion Marc Castro joined to the elite age group only a few months ago but he is a super talented boxer at the bantamweight (56kg). Another strong teenager National Champion Keyshawn Davis is a boxer who needs to be watched in Halle.
Russia’s veteran boxer Andrey Zamkovoy won silver medal in the Milan 2009 AIBA World Boxing Championships and following two Olympic Games he is still in the national team. Besides to Zamkovoy, AIBA World Boxing Championships bronze medallist Pavel Silyagin and National Champion Vadim Kudryakov will be also there in Halle.
