Escobar vs. Bennama could be the highlight of the upcoming Boxam Tournament in Castellon de la Plana

The Spanish Boxing Federation’s next event, the upcoming 34th edition of the Boxam Elite International Boxing Tournament will be welcoming big names next week. The highlight of the whole event could be at the men’s flyweight (52kg) where Spain’s European Games winner Gabriel Escobar and France’s Billal Bennama are both planning to attend. 

Several of the European National Federations have registered already to the prestigious Boxam Tournament. Out of our continent, United States of America also confirmed their participation in the Boxam Tournament with their best line-ups. The key boxers of the US team as Rashida Ellis, Oshae Jones, Naomi Graham, Delante Johnson and Richard Torrez Jr. all registered to attend in the event. 

The Boxam Elite International Boxing Tournament was scheduled to be held on April according to the original EUBC Calendar and plans but due to the Covid-19 situation it was cancelled. Following the decision of the Spanish Boxing Federation, the event was re-scheduled to October 5-11 in the same venue in Castellon de la Plana.

Afghanistan, EUBC Team, France, Italy, Monaco, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, United States of America and Wales are registered to take part of the Boxam Elite International Boxing Tournament. 

The safety of all participants, the continuous medical checks, the social distancing, the hygienic preparations, wearing masks and all of the health controls are the responsibility of the local organizers in Spain to avoid any new Covid-19 cases during the Boxam Elite International Boxing Tournament.
