02 November 2016On October 28 and 29 Assisi hosted the annual EUBC Commissions Meeting.
The event has been attended by a large number of qualified Members together with Chairmen of Coaches Commission Sandor Csotonyi, Medical Commission Alexander Neverkovich, Women’s Commission Susanne Karrlander, Referees and Judges Commission Waldemar Mencel, Fitness Commission Boris van der Vorst and Stanislaw Dobosz who in this occasion chaired the Competition Commission.
EUBC President Mr. Franco Falcinelli in his speech said: “EUBC Commissions have a vital role to study and make proposals in different boxing areas. Later on, the EUBC Executive Committee will discuss all the recommendations and proposals made during the working meetings.
Your analysis, proposals and recommendations are a great value to improve, develop and integrate the AIBA Technical and Competition Rules and to enhance Courses for Coaches, Referees and Judges, Doctors, Managers and ITOs.
We have created a new Commission, Fitness Commission, in order to consider and give more attention to a wide range of boxing practitioners which are not yet an integral part of National Federations.
We must recover these various forms of activities to show that Boxing plays an important social role and it is a “Sport for all”.
Dear friends, immediately after Rio Olympic Games, President WU, AIBA Executive Board, Chairmen of R&J and T&R Commissions decided to review some important aspects of our organization in order to ensure a more prestigious future to our Sport. During this meeting many crucial changes have been adopted and in the upcoming AIBA Extraordinary Congress, on December 2016, we have to ratify and update the AIBA Statute and also changes of some Rules”.
The introductory report of the President has stimulated the discussion of topics of great current and programmatic interest.
The Commissions have treated and examine several important points, including the new AIBA Scoring system and changes in the Competition officials management, R&Js management and evaluation, 2017 EUBC Events Calendar, duration of the bouts for women boxers, spreading of the amateur Boxing practice, removal of Headguards for Elite women boxers and many other.
