EUBC European Youth Boxing Champs Rotterdam 2013 PH Giulietti

After 210 outstanding matches, the EUBC European Youth Boxing Championships came to the end. Today the 10 Finals took place at the Topsportcentrum ringiside set in the dutch Town of Rotterdam

 

Russia (4), Ukraine (6), Azerbaijan (3), Hungary (2), Ireland (2), Armenia (1), Bulgaria (1), France (1) provided the 36 finalists, who did their best to get the gold medals.

 

Russia got the highest number of Gold Medal (3), followed by Ukraine (2), Azerbaijan (2), Hungary (1), France (1) and Ireland (1).

At 8pm, in front of an enthusiastic  audience, the first gong of the Final Day resounded.

The first final on schedule was the bout for 49 Kg gold medal between ZAMOTAYEV Dmytro (Ukr) and MIHAYLOV Zdravko (BUL). Zamotayev WON the contest and got the Gold Medal (WP)

Irish boxer Walker Curt and the  MAMMADOV Nasraddin (AZE) fought for the title in 56 Kg. Mammadov defeated the irish Boxers and gave the first gold to his Team

The 64 Kg final was a matter only for SAMOFALOV (Ukr) and GULIYEV (AZE). Guliyev got the second gold medal for Azerbaijan.

AGAFONOV Alexander (RUS) and MBILLI ASSOMO (FRA) competed for 75 Kg gold Medal. Mbilli Assomo conquered he only French gold medal.

MUSLIMOV Ramazan (UKR) and STOTSKIY Andrey (Rus) got into the ring for the 91 Final Bout. The russian boxer  gave no way out to his opponent, getting the gold.

CULLY Garry (Irl) and YUSIFZADA Masud (AZE) was the protagonists of the 52 Kg Final Bout. Cully gave to his team the only gold medal of the EYBC 2013, defeating the Yusifzada

The gold medal of 60 Kg was competed by GALOS Roland (HUN) and PETROV Viktor (UKR). Galos got into the winner’s spot, thanks to a very impressive performance.

JERELIKYAN Gor (ARM) and MAGOMEDOV Tamerlan (RUS) fought for the 69 Kg Crown. Magomedov conquered the gold medal.

MYKHAILOV Vladyslav (UKR) and HAMORI Adam (HUN) were in competition for the 81Kg Gold Medal. Mykhailov beat his opponent, winning the second and last medal for Ukraine.

SIRENKO Vladyslav (UKR) and MAMAKOV Khozhia (RUS) did their best to get the +91 Kg Gold Medal. Thanks to the Mamakov’s victory, The russian team got the first place in the EYBC Medal Haul.

 

Irish Garry Curly was awarded as Best Competition Boxer.
