AIBA 2 Stars Course

AIBA 2 Star Coach Course is underway in Assisi, where all the participants will stay for a week in order to gain the important Certification. This morning the first session of the meeting has been opened by the EUBC President Franco Falcinelli, who addressed the bystanders highlighting the importance of this course.

The welcome words from Mr. Franco Falcinelli, EUBC President, at the opening session of the “2 Star Coach Course” lead by AIBA Instructor Mr. Terry Edwards (Grate Britain) and Mr. Ervin Kade(Estonia).

“On behalf of Dr CK WU, AIBA President, Dr. A. Brasca, IBF President and EUBC , I would like to welcome all of you to Assisi to attend this important  course in order to gain 2nd AIBA Stars Level.

First of all I would like to remind you  the launch of the #HeadsUp campaign. It will mark a new era of evolution across the  historical innovations undertaken  by  AIBA President, Dr.CK Wu. If the Health, Education, Sustainability and  Sport are the paramount  pillars of #HeadsUp, Coaches and Trainers will be the motor of this initiative.

Boxing in the third millennium will enhance its social and ethical values, training and education; having as main objective the protection of health, image and future of its champions

President WU said “The health of boxers is our top priority” and the boxer’s health is primarily entrusted to the Coaches.

Boxing as a sport promotes discipline, and this discipline should be extended to other areas of boxers’ lives like mental training, nutrition and Anti-Doping.   We must support “Sport against drugs” and  Anti-Doping education. All AIBA Certification Coaches Courses will contain    WADA’s educational material.

We have to recover 30 years in which the using of Headguard and the previous Scoring System moved the nice skill of boxing to the background.

Now, one of the great problem of our competitions without Headguard is the risk of injuries.

Improving the technical and tactical teaching we can have a substantial reduction of the injuries.

Another strategic issue that can give us the opportunity to represent the millions of practicing, is the extraordinary role of fitness and wellness in Boxing Gyms.

Moreover, the acknowledgement of “Women Boxing” as an Olympic Sport, given to our sport the great task as a “Sport for all”.

Dear Friends, you have to be proud to perform a very important social role.

Your future will be bright and full of new important opportunities, but  all  of you  have to be available to increase, refresh and update your “knowhow” at AIBA Boxing Academies .

Good Luck! “ Stated Pres. Franco Falcinelli

Mr. terry Edwards and Ervin Kade have been the first teachers of the course.
