International Juniors Boxing Tournament for the Sergey Danilchenko prizes25 March 2019
From 26 March to 1 April 2019 in Kharkiv (Ukraine) will be held the internațional Boxing tournament for Junior boxers. Sergey Petrovich Danilchenko, born in 1974, is a Ukrainian boxer, European Champion in 1998, Olympic medalist in 2000 in Sydney, World Championships medalist in 2001, Merited Master of Sports.
He founded the Boxing Club Sergei Danilchenko in Kharkov. The club has over 500 athletes. In 2015, Sergey Petrovich held the 1st All-Ukrainian tournament for the prizes of the Sergey Danilchenko Boxing Club. The first tournament was attended by 77 boxers from 20 regions of Ukraine, in 2016 this tournament brought together the strongest 90 Junior boxers of Ukraine. In 2017 the tournament became an Open All-Ukrainian with participation of 84 boxers and 77 boxers in 2018, coming from all regions of Ukraine.
In 2018, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Boxing Federation, this tournament was given the status of International. Sergey Petrovich Danilchenko and his pupils are known not only in Ukraine, but also in the near and far abroad countries.
This year, many have expressed a desire to participate in this tournament. The strongest boxers from Belarus, Moldova, Romania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Bulgaria, Croatia confirmed their participation in this event. All tournaments for the prizes of the Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine Sergey Danilchenko, including this one, are held with the support of the Member of Ukrainian Parliament, First Vice President of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation Dmitry Shentsev. Dmitry Shentsev, a former boxer, is familiar with all the problems faced by athletes and coaches of the Kharkiv regional organization of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine, which is led by Honored Coach of Ukraine in boxing Leonid Zadorozhniy and 1st Vice President Alexander Manchak.
