The 2014 EUBC European Schoolboy Boxing Championships will be held in Keszthely  from June 29th to July 6th 2014. EUBC is glad to interview the Hungarian Boxing Association Dr. Sándor Csötönyi to present the upcoming competition, in which the best european schoolboy boxers are going to compete for the european glory.

1.     What does it mean for Hungarian Boxing Federation and also for the entire Hungarian sport sector to organize a very important event as the EUBC European Schoolboy Boxing Championships?

The Schoolboys Championships means honor and international recognition for the country and the Hungarian Boxing Association

2.    Could you kindly tell us how  Hungary and Keszthely are getting ready for this competition?

We’ll be ready for the Championships. Our Federation bought new AIBA approved rings, which will be set inside the Kszethely Tennis Hall ringside. The LOC gave its best to organise the Championships. I hope everything will go well and all boxers will do their best during the Kermesse.

3.     The best European Schoolby Boxer are going to land in Hungary for this competition. What do you expect from them and in particular from hungraian national boxing team?

The schoolboy Category is the most particular inside the Boxing world, because the Athletes of this age-group grow up quickly both as persons and as boxers. I think all of them will try to get the medals, showing their best into the rings. I except, of course, several medals from the Hungarian Team.
