#Keszthely15 Euro Women's Junior Youth Boxing Championships Recap of the former editions
03 August 2015Keszthely (Hungary) is going to host the sixth edition of Euro Women’s Junior Youth Boxing Championships, which will be held from upcoming August the 15th to the 24th.
The first edition of the EUBC European Women’s Junior/Youth Boxing Championships was held in the Bulgarian city of Yambol in december 2008 (10-13). This was the 1st ever edition of this competition. 82 fighters competed in the tournament. Russia was the most successful country with 9 Gold (3 Junior – 6 Youth), 7 Silver (4 Junior – 3 Youth) and 6 Bronze medals (3 Junior, 3 Youth)
The second edition of the Tournament took place in Sangatte from 26th to 30th October 2010. 90 boxers took part in the competition. The Russian team got before the rest of participants team thanks to 11 Gold (5 Junior – 6 Youth), 2 Silver (Junior) and 5 Bronze medals (4 Junior – 1 Youth).
Orenburg (Russia) was the host city of the Third edition, which took place from August 30 to September 3 2011. 95 Boxers competed among Junior and Youth Weight Categories. Russian Fighters got the top spot on the medals table with 9 Gold (4 Junior – 5 Youth), 10 Silver (6 Junior – 4 Youth) and 3 Bronze (Junior).
The second to the last edition of the this Championships had its ringside set in the polish town of Wladyslawowo in November 2012 (from 4th to 9th). The event was participated by 97. Russia got better of the rival teams, gaining 11 Gold (6 Junior – 5 Youth), 4 Silver (Junior) and 4 Bronze medals (2 Junior – 2 Youth).
Assisi was the fifth city to host this competition, which will take place from upcoming July 20th to 27th. Team of the tournament
Russia claimed five junior and six youth gold medals in Assisi, taking home almost 50% of the possible top positions.
