Malta Boxing Federation joins AIBA Family

The International Boxing Association (AIBA) is delighted to announce that the Malta Boxing Federation (MBF) has been accepted on July 18, 2013 by the AIBA Executive Committee as a Provisional Member of the AIBA Family.
Mr. Fabrizio Bazzi, President of the Malta Boxing Federation cited the Bible to express his delight: “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” (Proverbs 10:22).” We feel overwhelmed with the blessing of being back in the AIBA Family,” he went on to say. “Our federation has spent two long years away from AIBA and we are now looking forward to a prosperous future”.
Although this membership is provisional, subject to the approval of the 2014 AIBA Congress, AIBA now comprises 196 National Member Federations.
Following the Congrats Letter, which EUBC President Falcinelli sent to MBF President Brazzi“Dear Fabrizio,I think you know Italian because your name is Italian.It is my pleasure to welcome you into the AIBA family and therefore the European Confederation. I am very glad that Malta has once again started in Olympic Boxing and I am available to help you if you would like to have better relations with the Italian Boxing Federation or any other European Federation.Looking forward to meet you in the near future and I send you my best regards.
