Media accreditation opens for AIBA World Boxing Championships Doha 2015

rsz_doha2015_logoDoha 2015 Local Organising Committee is pleased to announce the opening of the media accreditation for the AIBA World Boxing Championship, which will be held from 5 until 15 October 2015 in Doha, Qatar. World Boxing Championships are an elite boxing event for the world’s 220 boxers from 40 countries, who will compete for the ultimate boxing glory – the title of the World Champion. The event will also have 23 quota places to Rio 2016 Olympic Games up for grabs in ten weight categories.

AIBA World Boxing Championships Doha 2015 will offer the media facilities and a comfortable working environment at state-of-the-art Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena.

Media representatives wishing to cover AIBA World Boxing Championships Doha 2015 are required to complete the accreditation application on the competition website before 18 September 2015. Questions regarding the application procedure should be referred to the Doha 2015 Accreditation Department at [email protected].

The registration process for media accreditation is for rights-holding broadcasters, non-rights-holding broadcasters, as well as written and photographic press.

Upon approval of the accreditation request, media representatives will receive a confirmation via e-mail, which will also include the relevant information on the venue, transport and media accommodation during AIBA World Boxing Championships Doha 2015.

Media accreditation will be distributed at the Accreditation Centre, which will be located at the Hamad International Airport upon arrival as well as at Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena. Accreditations will be distributed only upon presentation of a valid passport or ID and press card/proof of media affiliation.
