June was a very important month for the sport of Boxing. Among the various international championships that took place, we had the European Elite Male Championships in the Ukraine.
What’s more, this month we organized two important European Championships that will take place in July:
- July 2-10 – EUBC European Women’s Youth & Junior Championships – Sophia, Bulgaria
- July 17-26 – EUBC European Schoolboy’s Championships – Valcea, Romania
EVALUATION OF THE EUROPEAN BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS IN KHARKIV, IN UKRAINE
Ranking European Boxing Championships- Kharkiv, Ukraine (June 14-25, 2017)
Kharkiv hosted one of the most beautiful editions of the EUBC European Championships that I’ve seen. This continental event became a true showcase of the incredible skills, power and elegance exhibited in our sport. The Ukrainian Boxing Federation, lead by President Volodymyr Prodyvus and Vice President Dmitriy Shentsev, along with LOC, guaranteed a high level event and put in their best efforts to provide Team Delegations, Officials and all boxing fans with a great Boxing event.

As you know, the European Championships in Kharkiv was also a qualifying event for the upcoming AIBA World Boxing Championships in Hamburg, 2017. Starting on August 25th, 80 boxers (8 from each weight category) have reached the possibility to take part in the most important world event of the year.
Below is the list of the European National Federations whose boxers have qualified for Hamburg (Germany):

EUBC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING
On June 22nd, during the rest day of the European Championships, the city of Kharkiv hosted the annual EUBC Executive Committee Meeting, which took place at the Golf & Spa Resort. It was an important opportunity to discuss numerous topics regarding the future and to verify the work done by our Confederation during the last year. All the confederations are working very hard to improve each area of our sport so as to guarantee the homogeneous development of boxing in our continent and I would like to take this opportunity to thank EUBC Commissions’ Chairmen and Members for their important contribution. The main topics of interest discussed were the EUBC Competition Calendar 2018-2020, the launch of the European Boxing Academy in Assisi, the creation of the new Course for Boxing Managers and strategies of Boxing development in all its forms. The proposals made during the meeting will now be submitted to the AIBA Executive Committee for final approval.
MONTHLY ACTIVITY 2017
In June, we had three Championships– two were international and the other was the Elite Male European Championship. The first two occurred in Lituania and in Arzerbaijan, while Karkhiv hosted the European Championships:

INSTITUTIONAL VISITS IN THE EUBC HEADQUARTERS IN ITALY
The month of june was characterized by important institutional visits between the EUBC President and various presidents or delegates from different National European Boxing Federations.

THE VALUE OF COMMUNICATION
Communication between EUBC and the European National Boxing Federations is proceding smoothly. I would like to thank the various European Federation Presidents for their support in our initiative promote all of our national boxing events in the hopes of further enriching the whole european boxing movement.
