Passing way of Vladimir Yengibaryan

Dear boxing friends,

European Boxing Confederation would like to regretfully inform you of the loss of a great Armenian boxing Champion, Mr. Vladimir Yengibaryan, who has passed away today at the age of 80.
Mr Yengibaryan, Olympic Games Champion Melbourne 1956, European Champion 1953, 1957 and 1959, several times Soviet Union Champion, has forever left a mark in the history of our sport.

We share in the sadness of all who knew him and send our most sincere condolences to his family.

The funeral will take place in his last country of residence, United States of America.
