Record number of boxers and high quality of boxing are expected in the Bornemissza Youth & Junior Memorial Tournament this week

The Bornemissza Youth & Junior Memorial Tournament will be the main highlight of the boxing competitions this week. Following the high number of participants in the 2018 edition the local organizers increased the number of the competition days up to five. Besides to the quantity the quality also will be guaranteed top bouts in the historical city of Eger which is famous of its castle’s successful defence in 1552.

The Bornemissza Youth & Junior Memorial Tournament is a traditional competition in the city of Eger where the 69th edition will be holding in the upcoming days. The traditional event is the next big competition in the European boxing map and will be a preparation for the upcoming EUBC European Confederation Youth Boxing Championships.

Nearly 300 boxers registered to attend in the Bornemissza Youth & Junior Memorial Tournament and key nations such as United States, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, France, Thailand, India, Mongolia, Japan, Canada, Netherlands, Spain, Hungary, Croatia, Germany, Poland and many others will be there in Eger.
