Romania’s national boxing icon 10-times professional World Champion Mr. Lucian Bute visited the venue of the EUBC European Confederation Junior Boxing Championships.
Romania’s Mr. Lucian Bute is originally from the Galati region and during the event he met with the Technical Delegate of the EUBC European Confederation Junior Boxing Championships Mr. Waldemar Mencel of Austria and all of the important officials.
Lucian Bute was born in Pechea, Galati region in Romania on February 28 in 1980 and began boxing very early as a child. His first big success was a bronze medal at the Buenos Aires 1998 AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships. Lucian Bute was bronze medallist in the Houston 1999 AIBA World Boxing Championships and claimed gold medal at the 2001 Francophone Games.
He turned to professional after the Bangkok AIBA World Boxing Championships in 2003 and impressed the crowd of the galas with his strength and fighting spirit. Bute held the IBF super middleweight title from 2007 to 2012 and following his first success making nine-in-a-row defences. Bute reached most of his professional successes in Canada and the southpaw boxer’s professional record is 32-5.
