The 8th edition of the European Union Amateur Boxing Championships ended yesterday after 111 outstanding matches, which were held inside the the Sport Hall of Sofia, the Bulgarian Capital..
Italy, Bulgaria get on the top spot of the Medal Standings thanks to 2 Gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals each. Moldova (2 Gold and 4 gold medals) finished as runner up, while Ireland got the third step of the podium thanks to 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal. As far as ranking by team is concerned, Moldova was the first team in this standing, Bulgaria was the runner-up, Ireland finished in the third place
The 64 Kg Gold medal Vincenzo Mangiacapre has been awarded as Best Boxer of the competition
131 boxers and 38 coaches, representing 23 European Union Countries, took part part in the competition and gave life to an outstanding 8 days of great boxing.
