Stars will attend in the upcoming EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships

Several stars and future hopes will be attending in the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships which starts in the upcoming days. Kielce hosted the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships this April and medallists from that event including Russia’s champion Azalia Amineva are also on the entry list.

The youth competition is the last continental event in 2021 after the U22, Junior and Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Championships. Fantastic number of 367 boxers from 38 nations registered to attend in the upcoming EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships which will be held in Budva, Montenegro in October 13-24. Altogether 123 women and 244 men boxers registered to attend in the upcoming edition. The first competition day is October 15 while the finals are scheduled to be held on the 23rd.

The registered 38 nations are the following: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, host Montenegro, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine.

The President of the Boxing Association of Montenegro Mr. Aleksandr Klemenko worked hard with his team to arrange another EUBC Championships in Budva after the 2020 edition. Boxers who were born in 2003 and in 2004 are eligible to attend in the EUBC European Confederation Youth Boxing Championships in Budva.

The event will be introduced also the new youth weight categories, the girls can attend in 12 while the boys in 13 different weight classes in Montenegro. The 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63kg, 66kg, 70kg, 75kg, 81kg and +81kg are official for the women’s youth boxers in Budva. The men’s youth boxers can attend at the 48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 63.5kg, 67kg, 71kg, 75kg, 80kg, 86kg, 92kg and +92kg weight categories.

The safety of all participants, the continuous medical checks, the social distancing, the hygienic preparations, wearing masks and all of the health controls were the responsibility of the local organizers in Montenegro avoid any new Covid-19 cases during the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships.
