The EUBC Schoolboys & Schoolgirls European Boxing Championships is the next top event which starts on August 12

The EUBC Schoolboys & Schoolgirls European Boxing Championships is the highlight of the competitions after the Tokyo Olympic Games. Bosnia & Herzegovina’s capital city, Sarajevo will be the host of the new edition and after 20 years of break, a European boxing event returns to the country.

The competition period of the EUBC Schoolboys & Schoolgirls European Boxing Championships is August 12-20. Thirteen weight classes are scheduled for the schoolgirls and sixteen for the schoolboys which means 29 gold medals will be presented after the finals which took place on the 20th of August.

Altogether 80 schoolgirls and 209 schoolboys registered to attend in the EUBC Schoolboys & Schoolgirls European Boxing Championships in Sarajevo excluding the reserve boxers. The number of the participating nations is 25 in the upcoming competition: Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine.

Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, England, Georgia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Ukraine won gold medals in the last edition of the EUBC Schoolboys & Schoolgirls European Boxing Championships which was held in Tbilisi, Georgia two years ago. Boxers who were born in 2005 and in 2006 were eligible to attend in the event where 13 girls and 20 boys have been crowned among the participating 78 schoolgirls and 238 schoolboys from 30 nations.

All of the participants must have a negative PCR test ot older than 72 hours upon arrival to Bosnia & Herzegovina. The safety of all participants, the continuous medical checks, the social distancing, the hygienic preparations, wearing masks and all of the health controls and measured are the responsibility of the local organizers in Sarajevo avoid any new Covid-19 cases during the EUBC Schoolboys & Schoolgirls European Boxing Championships.
