Samsun 2016 Final Press Conference
The Final Press Conference of the European Boxing Qualification Event was held this morning inside the Mustafa Spor Salonu. Mr. Ching Kuo Wu, AIBA President, Mr. Falcinelli, EUBC President and Vice Pres AIBA, and Mr. Eyup Gozec, Turkish Boxing Federation President, talked with the Media participating about this important event, which is close to its end.
“I was in Rio” Stated Mr. Wu “in the last day to attend the final meeting about the Organisation of the upcoming Olympic Games. I’m very happy about the organisation of this European Qualification and I want to thank both the Turkish Boxing Federation and the EUBC for their effort in the setting up of this Championships.”
“I’d like to thank the AIBA and the Turkish Boxing Federation” said Mr. Falcinelli ” for their support in to us for the perfect organisation of this tournament, in which 30 countries, 217 Boxers and 32 Officials from all over the world are taking part into. I’d like to highlight the participation also of the following countries: Portugal, Kosovo, and Belgium which have started again a their own Boxing Olympic Programme”
“I’m very honoured that Turkey was appointed by AIBA and EUBC to host again the Euro Olympic Qualification” this the statement of Mr. Gozec “We’re supporting all decisions and chooses of AIBA for the development and good of our sport”
at the end of the Press Conference Mr. Gozec signed the AIBA Programme HeadsUp.
