The first edition of the Gheorgheni Open will be held for the junior, schoolboy and schoolgirls boxers in Romania on June 20-27

The Romanian Boxing Federation hosted two international competitions in 2022, starting with the first Brasov Open on February, then organized their traditional event, the Golden Belt Tournament on April. Their third international event this year, the Gheorgheni Open will be coming soon and scheduled to be hosted it on June 20-27. The registration to the new competition is open for all of the National Federations in each Confederation.

The first edition of the Gheorgheni Open will be held for the junior girls and boys, furthermore the schoolgirls and schoolboys. The new international tournament will be supported the preparation of the boxers for the upcoming EUBC Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championships and the EUBC Junior European Boxing Championships.

The new event will be held in the small city of Gheorgheni in a fantastic environment at the new Godako Hall. The Romanian Boxing Federation covered all of the age groups this year with local international competitions and supported their boxers to increase their international experiences. The President of the Romanian Boxing Federation Mer. Vasile Citea has just elected as EUBC Board of Director while one of our TDs, Mr. Viorel Sima is the engine of the upcoming tournament.

The safety of all participants, the continuous medical checks, the social distancing, the hygienic preparations, the vaccines check, wearing masks and all of the health controls are the responsibility of the local organizers in Romania to avoid any new Covid-19 cases during the Gheorgheni Open.
