Ukrainian boxing federation invites everyone to open Fitboxing training!15 July 2020
Training starts at 11 July, at 8.30. Venue – the territory of the sports complex NSC “Olimpiyskiy”.
For the second week in a row, the main stadium of the country – NSC “Olimpiyskiy” – is the epicenter of sports life throughout the capital. Open training in various sports, including fitboxing, is gradually becoming a good tradition here.
Fitboxing is a fun and effective training experience where music, fitness, technology and solidarity converge. Following the beat of the best music and always with certified coaches, you will practice boxing techniques, as well as functional training.
Fitboxing classes help to: improve coordination of movements; losing extra pounds and figure correction; general physical development; training of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems; strengthening of the vestibular apparatus; development of power indicators; improving boxing techniques.
Last week, the Boxing Federation of Ukraine again supported the idea of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and held an open training in fitboxing, which was attended by about a hundred children, adolescents and adults. It all started with a traditional engine, which was held for fans of all sports – not only boxing, but also gymnastics, football, basketball, table tennis, floorball, horting and others, which were presented that day at the “Olimpiyskiy”.
After an effective warm-up, the boxing community came together under the watchful eye of two professionals – a master of sports of international class, a participant in the I Youth Olympic Games, world champion in youth boxing and now – successful coach Angelina Bondarenko and no less authoritative mentor – sports director of Ukrainian boxing federation Anton. This tandem offered the audience a set of exercises in fitboxing.
Angelina Bondarenko, coach: “The idea is that anyone can take part in it and that it is interesting to them. Of course, from the beginning it will be easier for people with good training, but absolutely everyone without exception can attend training”.
There is also a stereotype that boxing is originally a male sport. But this is not the case, nowadays many girls prefer this martial art. As for fitboxing, in addition to developing purely boxing skills and classic exercises for impact speed and endurance, it also offers aerobics, which is so popular with girls and women.
Anton Cherednichenko, UBF sports director, coach: “The advantage of these trainings is that you get a load on certain muscle groups, comprehensive physical development. There is also work on cardio, coordination and more. It is also possible to learn self-defense skills without resorting to standard sparring. Not everyone wants to fight, but many want to learn to defend themselves. The more massive the training, the healthier the people will be!”
In addition to a large number of athletes, students of sports schools and clubs, the training was attended by many ordinary people: you could see how whole families, including small children, joined the open lesson.
In the general crowd we had to consider the former Ukrainian “ataman”, participant of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro Volodymyr Matviychuk, who also shared his impressions of the event:
“It’s nice that boxing enjoys such attention here. Sports and boxing in particular are a healthy way of life. I would like young people to have the opportunity for physical development and young people to come to these open trainings. I wish everyone not to stop at what has been achieved, to go forward and reach heights! And we, professional boxers, will inspire and motivate others.”
It should be added that at the initiative of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine, training in boxing and its variety – fitboxing – at the NSC “Olimpiyskiy” will be regular and will be held every weekend.
President of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine – Volodymyr Prodivus also praises the prospects of fitboxing: “We greatly support the initiative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to hold trainings in our main arena – NSC “Olimpiyskiy”. First of all, we want to encourage our young generation to lead healthy lifestyle. We want our youth to be proud of our champions and do our best to engage as many people as possible to do boxing.
The first trainings have been held with great success, and hundreds of people have joined them. This is the main thing that inspires us to continue our work diligently for the development of sports and further strengthen the boxing community in our country. We firmly believe in the great future of our sport and new victories of Ukraine!”
