Vision of Österreichischer Boxverband

The newly elected team of Österreichischer Boxverband (ÖBV) under the lead of Roman Nader, who is in charge of Austrias national federation since 2010, follows an highly ambitious vision and mission.
The vision and the mission of ÖBV contains the following cornerstones, which are for managerial implementation linked with newly elected Vice Presidents for APB and WSB.

Further increasing the wide base of young athletes and performance density in AIBA Open Boxing
Following the latest international success of ÖBV in Junior and Youth competitions, the base of young athletes and the performance density will be increased to highly successfully take part not only in European but also in World Boxing Championships.

Sending Athletes to AIBA Pro Boxing
Related to our vision in AOB we will build boxers that will successfully take part in AIBA Pro Boxing.
This mission is linked to our major aim, which is not only the qualification, but also the successful participation in Tokyo 2020.

Successfully build a highly competitive team in World Series of Boxing
Linked to our vision in AOB und APB we will establish a competitive team that will successfully take part in the WSB competitions. Sending a team to WSB would be a very strong indicator, that ÖBV has managed to build a system that brings out boxers, which are able to compete against the crème de la crème of international boxers

Short and Mid term goals: Olympic Games in Rio and Tokyo
Finally, our cornerstones are guiding towards our short and mid-term goal, which is the successful participation in the Olympic Games 2016 and 2020. A vision, every athlete is focused on since the ancient world.
