WSB 2013-14: The WSB spices up Miami for its 4th Season in the US
20 November 2013The World Series of Boxing has announced the launch of its fourth Season in the US. The USA Knockouts, the Franchise representing the United States in the League, was presented on Tuesday November 19 at a press conference held at the Miccosukee Resort & Gaming, where the team will host his first home match against the Argentina Condors on Friday November 22.
Fully supported by USA Boxing, the US national governing body for the sport of boxing, the USA Knockouts has entered a 37-man squad into the tournament that includes boxers from Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Venezuela… and obviously the best American talents.
The Knockouts team is looking forward to the match. Focusing on the forthcoming bout with the Argentina Condors, Light Flyweight (46-49kg) Anthony Chacon, currently ranked #6 in the AIBA World Ranking said: “My training is going very well and I feel very strong for the fight in Miami. I am in the best shape of my life and looking to win the match against Patrick Lourenco, from the Argentina Condors team this Friday at the Miccosukee”, he said.
“We are thrilled that the USA Knockouts are fighting out of Miami, Florida this year”, said Mr Karim Bouzidi, WSB Chief executive Officer. “Not only are we presenting the US Team, here in the Sunshine State, but also we understand what boxing means for the folk here in Miami, particularly for the Latin community. We believe that through the WSB, we can make the City of Miami, the Latin Boxing Capital of the World and that the United States can reclaim their spot on the top of the boxing world. It is a big dream, and it may take time, but we will get there”.
The USA Knockouts match against the Argentina Condors will take place this Friday November 22, 2013 8:30 p.m. (local time) at the Miccosukee Resort & Gaming in Miami, Florida and will be televised exclusively by Univision, and live streamed on www.aibaboxingtv.com.
Tickets are $20.00 each at the door.
