#WSBV DAY 11 – Caciques Venezuela continue impressive home form with win over Puerto Rico Hurricanes
29 March 2015A marvelous World Series of Boxing (WSB) American derby in Maiquetía was won by the South American Franchise Caciques Venezuela 3-2 over Puerto Rico Hurricanes.
This was Venezuela’s fifth home win of the Regular Season, and they will be delighted in the manner of the victory.
Yoel Finol enjoyed his fourth win of the season at Light flyweight (49 kg) after dominating every round against Anthony Chacon Rivera.
The Hurricanes evened up the scoring in the second fight of the night when Bantamweight (56 kg) Hector Luis Garcia Mora defeated José Vicente Azocar.
Venezuelan Light welterweight (64 kg) Luis Arcón then outpointed Jan Rivera which enabled his team to retake the lead.
2-0 French Middleweight (75 kg) Christian M’Billi Assomo enjoyed his second successive stoppage in the competition when he stopped Jose Endry Saavedra Pinto in round four of their bout.
M’Billi Assomo has been a superb acquisition for Puerto Rico, and his star is shining after another impressive performance.
Heavyweight (91 kg) Alfonso Flores secured Venezuela’s fifth home win of the campaign by stopping Gabriel Richards in the third round of their meeting.
Caciques Venezuela next visit Argentina Condors, while Puerto Rico Hurricanes host Astana Arlans Kazakhstan.
