A flawless performance in Casablanca from Morocco Atlas Lions resulted in a 5-0 home victory over China Dragons.

Not only was this the third successive victory for the African Franchise, but two of their fighters kept their dreams of qualifying for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games through WSB very much alive.

Morocco’s best boxer this season has been the second ranked Welterweight (69 kg) Mohammed Rabii who enjoyed his sixth consecutive win over China’s 1-3 Liu Wei.

With just one match of the Regular Season to go for the Welterweight division, Rabii has maintained his points advantage over Ireland’s Steven Donnelly and is now level on points with top ranked Radzhab Butaev.

Rabii dropped just one round on a single scorecard against Wei, and fought very much like a fighter destined for Rio.

His teammate Achraf Kharroubi secured his fourth win of the campaign against Chang Yong, and the Flyweight (52 kg) is still very much in the mix for Rio heading into his last match in two weeks time.

The African star won the first four rounds in his fight with Yong, and looked comfortable throughout.

Lightweight (60 kg) Hamza Rabii then enjoyed his first WSB win by outpointing Lei Wang, while Dutch Light heavyweight (81 kg) Peter Mullenberg secured his second win in a row as he completely dominated Aolin Zhang.

Abouhamada Abdeljalil made it 5-0 for his Franchise in the last fight of the night when he edged a split decision verdict over 19-year-old Chinese debutant Haipeng Mu.

Morocco Atlas Lions travel to Algeria Desert Hawks next week, while China Dragons host Mexico Guerreros.
