#WSBV Day 5 ASt vs Rico

World Series of Boxing (WSB) Season III winners Astana Arlans Kazakhstan are undefeated so far in the fifth season of the competition, but face a tough home match against Puerto Rico Hurricanes.

After three superb victories, the Puerto Rican Franchise have surprised many fans during their first four WSB matches and they will be looking to cause another upset in this clash.

Boxing Centre Sapiyev, Karaganda City is the venue for this eagerly anticipated Group B match, and on Saturday 14th February, fans across the world can watch the action free, live and on demand from 18:00 (GMT +6) at AIBABoxingTV.com.

First up are the Light flyweights (49 kg) where home favourite Mardan Berikbayev looks for his second win of the season against the 1-1 Puerto Rican Olympian Anthony Ortiz.

WSB veteran Bantamweight (56 kg) Meirbolat Toitov also won his opening match of the campaign in week one of the competition, and puts his undefeated record on the line when he fights Luis Ruiz, who makes his WSB debut in this match replacing Garibaldy Gomez who was stopped two weeks ago.

An excellent Light welterweight match follows, with Samat Bashenov, named the best Asian boxer in WSB of 2013 looking to go 2-0 in Season V against the 1-1 Puerto Rican Jan Rivera.

21-year-old Kazakh Zhanibek Alimkhanuly won the 2013 AIBA World Championships, and the world class Middleweight (75 kg) makes his first appearance of the season against Jeffrey Flaz Guillén, who lost every round of his last match when he fought Italy’s Salvatore Cavallaro.

The night ends at Heavyweight (91 kg) where hometown hero Vasiliy Levit looks for his third stoppage win in a row as he fights Sweden’s Gabriel Richards who is representing the Hurricanes this season.
