#WSBV Day 5 – Will USA Knockouts return to winning ways against Azerbaijan Baku Fires?
13 February 2015USA Knockouts won their first three matches in Season V of the World Series of Boxing (WSB) before losing last week to Astana Arlans Kazakhstan.
They will aim to resume winning ways at home to Season IV runners up Azerbaijan Baku Fires, who have had a mixed start to the campaign, with two wins and two losses.
However, the Azeri Franchise had one of the greatest victories in WSB history last week, as they did not drop a single round as they annihilated Rafako Hussars Poland.
Miccosukee Sports & Entertainment Dome, Miami, is the venue for this Group B clash, where on Sunday 15th February fans across the world can watch the action free, live and on demand from 20:00 (GMT -5) at AIBABoxingTV.com.
The action begins at Light flyweight (49 kg) and the speedy Nico Hernandez looks for his first win of the season against Azerbaijan’s Magomed Ibiyev.
American Bantamweight (56 kg) Francisco Martinez is seeking his third win a row after an electric start to his WSB career, and puts his undefeated record on the line when he faces Tural Ahmadov, the young Azeri who is attracting a lot of hype as a potential start of the future.
Tyrek Irby is ranked number one in America at Light welterweight (64 kg) and will aim to solidify that status with a good performance against Baku Fires legend Gaybatulla Gadzhialiyev who has won both of his WSB matches so far this season.
The penultimate bout in Miami is at Middleweight (75 kg) where the 1-1 Knockouts star Anthony Campbell meets Mikalai Vesialou, who won his opening match for Azerbaijan in the first week of the campaign.
Last up are the Heavyweights (91 kg) and America’s 2-0 Josh Temple fights Abdulkadir Abdullayev in a match that will almost certainly produce fireworks.
