Group B of the World Series of Boxing (WSB) has been dominated by Astana Arlans Kazakhstan who have won all six of their Season V fixtures so far.

They face perhaps their toughest test of the season this week however, when they host a resurgent Italia Thunder who are undefeated in their last four matches.

Almaty Sports Palace, Almaty, is the venue for this Group B clash, where on Saturday 28th February fans across the world can watch the action free, live and on demand from 18:00 (GMT +6) at AIBABoxingTV.com.

An excellent Light flyweight (49 kg) contest opens proceedings, as the 1-0 home star Temirtas Zhussupovhosts the number one ranked 3-0 Patrick Barnes who has been Italia Thunder’s best boxer so far this season.

Michael Conlon, an Irish international compatriot of Barnes and his Thunder teammate has also been impressive at Bantamweight (56 kg), and the 2-1 number two ranked fighter battles Kazakh debutant and 2013 AIBA World Championships bronze medalist Kairat Yeraliyev.

Askhat Ualikhanov then looks for his first victory of Season V for Astana Arlans against Italy’s 2-1 third ranked Light welterweight (64 kg) Vincenzo Mangiacapre who won away in Poland last time out.

The Middleweights (75 kg) compete next, where 2-0 Meiirim Nursultanov who has been one of the most impressive fighters in his weight class this season for Kazakhstan puts his undefeated record on the line when he faces Italian debutant Raffaele Munno.

Perhaps the most dominant fighter so far in Season V appears in the last fight of the evening, with Kazakh Heavyweight (91 kg) Vasiliy Levit in action.

The number one ranked Heavyweight has won all three of his fights this campaign early, with two third round stoppages and a second round finish in his last outing.

This week he faces Italy’s 1-1 Endri Spahiu who lost away in Poland two weeks ago.
