#WSBV Day 8 – Will USA Knockouts return to winning ways over winless Argentina Condors?

05 March 2015 News

After a marvelous start to Season V in the World Series of Boxing (WSB), USA Knockouts came crashing down to Earth last week after losing to neighbours Puerto Rico Hurricanes.

They will be confident of returning to winning ways against Argentina Condors however, who have managed to secure just one draw in their opening seven fixtures against six defeats.

The Knockouts are undefeated at home this season, and defeated Argentina away during the first week of the campaign.

Miccosukee Sports & Entertainment Dome, Miami is the venue for this Group B clash, where on Friday 6th March fans across the world can watch the action free, live and on demand from 20:00 (GMT -5) at AIBABoxingTV.com.

2-1 Brent Venegas III has won both of his home matches this season for USA, and the fourth ranked Flyweight (52 kg) opens the evening by facing Argentina’s 1-1 Cristian Alan Choque Chambi.

American fourth ranked Lightweight (60 kg) Carlos Balderas is also undefeated in WSB with two home victories, and looks for a third win in a row against 0-2 Brian Ivan Nunez.

1-2 Brian Ceballo started the season strongly for the Knockouts, but after two defeats in a row he has a very difficult evening in store against Argentina’s talented fifth ranked Welterweight (69 kg) Alberto Ignacio Palmetta.

A battle of technically sound Light heavyweights (81 kg) follows, where 1-2 home star Steven Nelson fights 1-0 Argentine Marcos Escudero.

The exciting 1-1 American Super heavyweight (91+ kg) Cam F. Awesome competes in the last bout of the evening, and he battles 0-1 Condors fighter Leonardo Taborda. Both Awesome and Taborda have suffered disqualification defeats at the hands of Italian Guido Vianello this season.
