#WSBV Day 9 Invigorated Italia Thunder whitewash USA Knockouts 5-0

Italia Thunder won their first World Series of Boxing (WSB) match in three weeks as they defeated USA Knockouts 5-0 in Roseto Degli Abruzzi.
This result throws Group B wide open, with the Italian team back in the hunt for qualification from the group.
Number one ranked Light flyweight (49 kg) Patrick Barnes earned his fifth successive WSB victory, and moved a step closer to Rio 2016 as he stopped Merik Elliston in round four of their bout.
Italia Thunder Bantamweight (56 kg) Michael Conlon reignited his own hopes of qualifying for Rio through WSB as he won every round against the number one ranked Knockout Francisco Martinez who falls to 4-1 in the competition.
The victory was secured for Italy at Light welterweight (64 kg) when Vincenzo Mangiacapre took his Season V record to 4-1 after widely outpointing Tra-Kwon Pettis.
Yet another Thunder victory occurred as Middleweight (75 kg) Salvatore Cavallaro upset USA’s fifth ranked Anthony Campbell.
1-1 Fabio Turchi secured the whitewash for Italy by subjecting Josh Temple to his third defeat in a row.
Italia Thunder travel to Puerto Rico Hurricanes next week, while USA Knockouts visit Caciques Venezuela.
