XI EUBC ESBC Dublin 2013: The Irish Tournament declared the new European Champions

After 128 spectacular matches, the XI EUBC European Schoolboy Boxing Championships came to the end. Today the 18 Finals took place at the City West Hotel ringiside set in Saggart, a suburban Town south west of Dublin City.

Russia (12), Ukraine (11), Ireland (7), Germany (2), Armenia (1), Belarus (1), Romania (1) and Turkey (1) provided the 36 finalists, who did their best to get the gold medals.

Russia got the highest number of Gold Medal (9), followed by Ukraine (6), Ireland (2) and Armenia (1).

At 2pm, in front of an enthusiastic  audience, the first gong of the Final Day resounded.

The first final on schedule was the bout for 38,5 Kg gold medal between Doghi Dorin (Rou) and Ade Yegor (Ukr). The Ukrainian Boxer won by unanimous decision (3-0)

 

 

Irish boxer Barry McReynolds and the Ukrainian Taras Bondarchuk fought for the title in 40 Kg. Bondarghuk gave to his team the second gold, winning the match (3-0)

The 41,5 Kg final was a matter only for Oleksii Pidmurniak (Ukr) and Riansyi Pavel (Rus). Riansyi won the first of the nine russian Gold Medals (3-0)

 O. Trutniev (Ukr) and Sean Whelan (Irl) competed for 43 Kg gold Medal. Trutniev won the fight by split decision (2-1).

D. Siaredzich (BLR) and N. Piskunov (Rus) got into the ring for the 44,5 Final. The russian boxer  gave no way out to his opponent, winning by 3-0.

McKenna (Irl) and K Shchukarev (Rus) was the protagonists of the 46 Kg Final Bout. McKenna gave to his team the first gold medal, defeating the russian boxer (3-0)

The gold medal of 48 Kg was competed by A. Smirnov (Rus) and Jamie Harty (Irl). Smirnov got the into the winner’s spot (3-0 Final Result).

J. Harty (Irl) and E. Tcambov (Rus) fought for the 50 Kg Crown. Tcambov conquered the gold medal (3-0 final result)

E. Tuggrulhan (TUR) and D. Khalidov (Rus) were in competition for the 52 Kg Gold Medal. Khalidov won by split decision (2-1).

 P. Ryan (Irl) and A. Simonyan (ARM) did their best to reach the 54 Kg Final Lap. Simonyan won by KOT during the second round

D. Fokin (Rus) and I. Papakin (Ukr) fought for the 56 Kg Championships. Papakin defeated Fokin (3-0) in the secodn match between Russian and Ukranian Boxers.

The Gold Medal of the 59 Kg Weight category was decided by the match between D. Levchenko (UKR) and Jordan Myers (IRL). Myers, who got also the prize as Best Competition Boxer, beat Levchenko by 3-0

V. Pavlyuk (Ukr) and A. Sauer (Ger) competed for the 62 Kg Gold. Pavlyuk did his best and got the gold medal (3-0 Final Result)

Chubrevichev (Ukr) and A. Oganesian (Rus) were the boxers for the 65 Kg Gold Medal. Oganesian reached the highest step of the podium, winning by 3-0

The 68 Kg final was another fight between russian and ukrainian Boxers: D. Chernykh (Rus) and A. Kartsan (Ukr). The 68 Kg gold medal was won by Chernykh (3-0 Final Result)

The 72 Kg Final was the third match in row with Russia and Ukraine in competition. A. Antonov (Ukr) and Z. Kurbanov (Rus). Kurbanov overcame Antnov and got the gold

Artur Bakuntc (Rus) and Pascal Ortllepp (Ger) competed for gold in the 76 Kg Category. Bankuntc got the last gold medal for Russia, defeating by Split decision (2-1) Ortllepp.

The last Final (+76 Kg) was a match between O. Hrytsiv (Ukr) and A. Radaev (Rus). Ukraine won the gld medal in the heaviest category thanks to Hrytsiv.
