A thought to remind the International and Olympic Referee & Judge Mr. Pino Minutoli

by Franco Falcinelli, EUBC President

The news of the disappearance of my friend Pino Minutoli left me speechless.

For many years he has been a prominent figure not only of Italian boxing, but also International boxing.

Giuseppe Minutoli

Born in Trieste on December 25, 1943, he has been the Head of the Italian State Railways and for a period also the National Secretary of the Independent Syndicate of Machinists.

He practiced boxing and since very young, he came to light as boxing Referee in Italy. After a few years he became an International Referee & Judge and participated to numerous boxing Competitions such as European Championships, World Championships in Sidney 1991 and Olympic Games in Barcelona 1992.

During his boxing career both the Italian Boxing Federation, EABA, EUBC and AIBA reserved him important positions in the Referees&Judges Commission.

In addition to being the Chairman of the Italian Boxing Federation Referees & Judges Department he has been also elected as a Chairman of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Committee of the Italian Boxing Federation.

Dear Pino, I greet you warmly and thank you for all you have given to Boxing.
