Both Light Heavyweight favourites Mathieu Bauderlique and Nikita Ivanov lost for first time in APB during week three of the competition, which saw the two fighters miss out on competing for the Ranking Title.
The Universiada Hall in Sofia hosted the APB Ranking “Matches for Champions”, and the mauler from Mauritius St Pierre defeated tough Russian Nikita Ivanov via TKO in round five of their gruelling contest.
Iran’s Rouzbahani then won on points against France’s Bauderlique in an amazing and engrossing close contest between two of the best Light Heavyweight boxers in the world.
After the surprises in Sofia, St Pierre and Rouzbahani will fight in January for the Ranking Title.
APBCaserta DAY 3 APB PreRanking Phase 91 Kg
The Italian Superstar Clemente Russo recovered from his APB loss in week two to defeat the Kazakh Anton Pinchuk on points, and will fight for the Ranking Title in January.
There he will face the young Russian Aleksei Egorov who won the right to fight for the Ranking Title after winning with authority against the German Ahmatovic in the exciting APB Ranking “Matches for Champion” evening in Caserta.
