It is with very great sorrow that the European Boxing Federation learned about the loss of the french Boxer Alexis Vastine, died in the Villa Castelli helicopter crash yesterday (March the 9th 2015).

Alexis Vastine (17 November 1986 – 9 March 2015) was a French boxer who won a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics at Light Welterweight. He also competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics.

EUBC President, Mr Franco Falcienlli, on Behalf of European Boxing, mourns the passing of both a great Boxer and a very good Man.
