EUBC President Falcinelli and AIBA President WU

Mr. Franco Falcinelli, President of the European Boxing Confedeartion (EUBC), announced this week that he will run for the position of AIBA VicePresident (representing Europe), which will become The President of EUBC for the 2014-2018 term.

Please find below the President Falcinelli Letter sent to all European National Boxing Federations Presidents about his decision.

“Dear Presidents and Secretary Generals,

As the 2014 AIBA Congress comes close, I believe you have now received all AIBA Forms for the registrations and elections. In this regard, I would like to make my announcement to run for the position of the AIBA Vice President representing Europe, which will become the President of EUBC for the 2014 – 2018 term.

It has been my great privilege to work together with you over the past two years as the EUBC President. During this period, we have achieved to increase the status of Europe in the global sport of boxing program as the truly leading continent. EUBC has produced outstanding numbers of medals in major events and have a large presence of R&Js, Coaches, Supervisors and ITOs and quota places for the World Championships.

It is vital that we work continue on the same team to further advance boxing on our continent for another 4 years, hence contributing to the overall development of our sport worldwide.

With this in mind, I would cordially like to request your kind support by sending in your nomination forms and putting me as your candidate for the AIBA Vice President representing Europe. I extend my commitment to dedicate myself to enhancing the solidarity amongst European National Federations to organize, practice, share, and foster the sport of boxing on all levels.
