The Technical Meeting of the Cologne Boxing World Cup led by Mr. Marko Marovic17 December 2020
The Technical Meeting was held at the Cologne Boxing World Cup in the Hotel Marriott before the first competition day of the international event.
The Technical Delegate of the Cologne Boxing World Cup is Mr. Marko Marovic, the new EUBC Competition Manager. He worked also in the EUBC Youth European Boxing Championships in Budva and in the EUBC Junior European Boxing Championships in Sofia in the recent weeks. Mr. Marko Marovic of Croatia led the Technical Meeting of the Cologne Boxing World Cup.
Mr. Marovic informed all delegations about the schedule of the Cologne Boxing World Cup, the meal times, and the transportation during his opening speech. The general weigh-in will be held by weight categories and by genders separately to follow all of the Covid-19 protocols. Each boxer must bring their passport of national ID card, their accreditation card and their competition record book with the annual medical examination form.
Mr. Marovic also underlined all protocols of the competition, the key technical rules, the boxers’ uniforms guidelines, the countermeasure concepts, the official draw, the scoring system, the equipments, and all of the other important issues and technical information of the event as well. The Cologne Boxing World Cup has got strong measures and special rules with a Covid-19 manager.
The safety of all participants, the continuous medical checks, the social distancing, the hygienic preparations, wearing masks and all of the health controls are the responsibility of the local organizers in Germany to avoid any new Covid-19 cases during the Cologne Boxing World Cup.
The German Boxing Federation was planning to host the event earlier this year and re-scheduled it two-times in the recent months. The following nations will be attending in the Cologne Boxing World Cup: Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Moldova, Netherlands, Poland and Ukraine.
