#WSBV Day 7 – Russian Boxing Team go 20-0 at home after thrashing Morocco Atlas Lions
28 February 2015A rampant Russian Boxing Team maintained their flawless home World Series of Boxing (WSB) record with a dominant 5-0 win over Morocco Atlas Lions.
This victory ensures that Russia have not lost a single match in their last four fixtures.
The evening began with success at Light flyweight (49 kg) as Vasilii Egorov earned his second win of the season with a near shutout victory over Morocco’s 1-3 Zouhair El Bekkali.
Russian Bantamweight (56 kg) Vladimir Nikitin then earned his second successive win as he comfortably dispatched of Moroccan debutant Said Malek.
Vitaliy Dunaytsev then secured a Light welterweight (64 kg) victory, and the overall match win for Russia as he won every round against Atlas Lion Hamza El Barbari who slips to 0-4 for the season.
2-0 Russian Middleweight (75 kg) Petr Khamukov then secured his second stoppage win in a row as he finished debutant Youness Gharroumi in round four.
The 5-0 whitewash was assured for Russia at Heavyweight as Vitalijus Subacius suffered a TKO-I in round four of his match with 2-0 Evgeny Tishchenko.
Russian Boxing Team are away to Algeria Desert Hawks next week, while Morocco Atlas Lions host Cuba Domadores.
